I asked to be part of the Storyboarding team and I was assigned two scenes : Pride (The Groomers ) and Anger (the bedroom).
I started by taking a look at the script and putting down some notes and some thumbnails.

Since we didn’t have a lot of time, I proceeded to draw directly onto Photoshop.

Since it’s a Storyboard for Live Action, I know that it is not the final blueprint but more of a set of indications, so I tried to focus on the main frames, making them as clear as possible and giving a clear suggestion about perspective.
We were given in class a guide to storyboarding so after drawing every single frame I put them altogether to give to my supervisor.
The guide:

Pride (The Groomers) didn’t present a lot of problems for me in visualising the scene.

Getting onto Anger, the situation was a bit more complicated. In the scene, Suzie reminisces of her past. To me, while reading it, it seemed like almost a more “calm” scene. Like a pause after all the commotion of the other crazy rooms.
That is why at the beginning I thought maybe it was beneficial to stop on a couple of details, like the state of the room while she moves around.

Also I acted myself a couple of scenes in order to draw something more believable.
First when she sits down and is sad. I tried to hunch a little bit to communicate how i was grasping the pillow.

The second when I was ” listening to the pillow ” . Trying to act curious.

Even though I don’t have the best facial expressions I tried my best to communicate with my body.
Here is the first draft of Anger :

I am now waiting for instructions and or feedbacks.
