Environment design – Part 3 – The Woodlands.

After talking to my tutor and after having received more references from what was decided was the style, I realised that I could turn and push the design more.

First of all, I started studying Dorothea Schoentag. Her style and use of colour. At the beginning, i focused primarily on how she bends the shapes and how she divides the space clearly in three areas: foreground , middle ground and background.

Then I started sketching some shapes, trying to understand how to develop plants and trees more whimsically.

Now that the development of shapes is more clear. I started developing the thumbnails.

To develop the thumbnails I used the storyboards as a reference to select the environments to develop.

Finally I started giving myself a general idea of more whimsical shapes and colour with the colour palette that was decided previously.

In the thumbnails i tried to divide the space in three already in order for them to clearer and for me to develop them easier in the future.
