An Encounter with Prop Design.

Since I was the one that developed the storyboard for Rage I had a meeting with the person responsible of developing the props for the room.

We talked about the most efficient way to develop some props, especially the cushion. In the scene, Suzie has to rip the cushion as she is looking for something ticking.

We made two considerations: the first , it would be nice to have something not bought but recycled since it has to be destroyed, second it has to be very easy to rip, otherwise the actor is going to find themselves unable to complete the scene. My colleague had already an alternative , an old duvet thatwas meant to be thrown away. The idea was to dismantle it and then build the cushion from there.
