I wanted to develop two characters keeping in mind that we had pre-made 3d models we had to adapt, so my development of the character design was done while searching for the models as well. The main thing I wanted to transpire was a stark difference in the character’s shape and demeanour.
Chef had to be stiff and grumpy/rigid/uptight so I chose long lines , cool colours and pointy shapes while Steve, the chef’s assistant , was round and mellow and happy and enthusiastic , even though a bit chaotic.
